For over a hundred years we have been fascinated with “metal“.  Tradition and experience form our foundation; our skilled workers, welders and technicians our strength; our apprentices are an important part of our future. We combine a long-established, owner-operated, mid-sized business with quick and flexible decision making processes. We understand the term “made in Germany” and at the same time, together with our LBF Poland branch, operate internationally and globally as a Polish-German powerhouse in matters of acquisition, sales and distribution.

Clients, such as Siemens, Voith, Wolf and MAN, trust us with their enquiries, ideas and projects. But it is not only companies in the mechanical engineering field that give us their trust, but clients from environmental technologies, the food and beverage industry, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well. Just like the many mid-sized companies concentrating on their core competencies, they also use LBF as a supplier and partner for sheet metal applications. We support our customers throughout the design process and in finding solutions with engineering, production and assembly. Together we can develop standard products or unique customized solutions to meet our customer’s needs. Our goal is to give each customer personal, competent and reliable support.

LBF’s achievements can be found in many large-scale projects, including part of the 57 km long Gotthard tunnel in Switzerland and the Brenner-Zulauf [tunnel] in Austria. Our Halar®-coated pipes are being used in AMD/Global Foundries in Dresden, at the "Royal" King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia and most recently in microchip manufacturing plants in Belgium and in Brazil’s first ever microchip plant. Industrial noise protection produced by LBF can be found in Cantarell, Mexico; in Abu Dhabi; in China and all around the world where customers of ours have set up facilities. We are also active in vibration control technology worldwide. For example, 800 megawatt-steam turbines are being supported on LBF spring elements in Germany and the Netherlands; we have equipped and installed standard turbines from Mallorca to Russia with our vibration control technology.

We carry out both small orders as well as multi-million euro large-scale projects and acquire all required certifications and approvals (Pressure Vessel Authorisation HPO, ISO 3834-2 Specialized Welding Certification, WHG (Water Resources Act) Certification, Process inspections for nuclear applications, TÜV, RAL, FM, Railway Certification, See-BG [the German maritime authority] certificate, and many more). Or, together with our customer, we can develop acoustic insulation solutions in our LBF-acoustics laboratory – because sometimes it’s best to put the papers aside and put it to the test:  as we did in the Berlin Reichstag and the ICE projects. Noise protection is in fact not "only metal and mineral wool."
