Rectangular exhaust air silencers with exhaust air towers and deflector hood for protection from rain. Silencers are usually constructed with noise absorbing interior components containing mineral wool. The surface is covered with perforated sheet metal along with glass fibre fabric, foil or stainless steel mesh. However, it must remain “acoustically” open to the air flow. In the project presented on this page, the splitter silencer, which can be completely removed and cleaned, are aligned behind convenient inspection openings, which can be reached by a steel construction platform.

We see ourselves as service providers for sheet metal and manufacturing. Based on our customer’s drawings and parts lists, or sketches, LBF offers a wide range of manufacturing possibilities: including pre-assembly tasks, welded parts, coatings or other work requirements.

Of course we also handle all services related to design, assembly, measurements and testing as well as logistics – Let’s talk about sheet metal!

The exhaust ducts convey process exhaust air polluted by chemicals that can contain, for example, sulphuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids, sodium hydroxide or ammonia. HALAR is a material which can be powder coated and stems from the Teflon family. Compared to most other mediums it is durable, lasting and reliable. We can professionally design, engineer, manufacture and coat any standard shape, round or rectangular, for the air technology sector. Standard procedure for exterior surfaces is full-surface pickling.

A true LBF strength: finding and optimising technical solutions with our customers. Together with our customer’s ideas and our network of experience, we design products, provide services and complete projects. LBF can come aboard at any stage during a project – whether the solution is almost complete or if it is still unclear exactly what product is needed. Design sketches, brainstorming, sample productions, as well as taking measurements and testing all lead to finding a solution.

LBF has a wide range of assembly experience, including in the following sectors: furnace systems, paper technologies, microchip industries, electroplating industries, CHP facilities, exhaust gas systems and air duct systems. On request, LBF will assemble, among other things, our noise protection enclosures with steel constructions, industrial silencers, ventilation towers and large spring elements. Of course LBF can also completely assemble the systems, including the parts provided to us by the customer, such as expansion joints, valves, fans and much more.

If the initial values are unknown, LBF can measure the noise levels of the sound source. These are then indicated as sound power levels or sound pressure levels, and form the basis for the evaluation of the sound propagation. In order to comply with maximum allowed values, the necessary noise protection measures are defined as: output level - required maximum allowed level = necessary attenuation! Silencers are measured according to DIN standards in our acoustic lab: transmission room equipped with a wall of speakers – duct with silencers – reverberation room!
