Engineering and design

A true LBF strength: finding and optimising technical solutions with our customers. Together with our customer’s ideas and our network of experience, we design products, provide services and complete projects. LBF can come aboard at any stage during a project – whether the solution is almost complete or if it is still unclear exactly what product is needed. Design sketches, brainstorming, sample productions, as well as taking measurements and testing all lead to finding a solution.

Project Information
Material: site measurements and support designs
Engineering: strength calculations , static calculations, calculations for the piping network
Design: Inventor – model, drawings, parts lists, -.step, -.dwg, -.dxf
Engineering: acoustic and vibration control design
Design: prototype development and prototype construction

Logistics for national and international deliveries

A well planned logistics management is worth its weight in gold, especially on large construction sites. In coordination with the customer, the components are given customer position numbers, which have already been included in the assembly plans. If needed, the packages are marked with an identification tag allocating the correct place on the construction site where it is to be assembled. For international projects thorough packing lists for the entire scope of delivery can be compiled upon request. For the freight, LBF has access to standard trucks and trucks with special functions, including those with cranes for unloading or low loaders.

Project Information
Labelling: components and packages
Packing list: professionally commissioned
Packing: truck and seaworthy packaging
Transportation: truck and special transportation
Export: EU 1 – registration, supplier declaration

Sheet metal processing according to customer design

We see ourselves as service providers for sheet metal and manufacturing. Based on our customer’s drawings and parts lists, or sketches, LBF offers a wide range of manufacturing possibilities: including pre-assembly tasks, welded parts, coatings or other work requirements.

Of course we also handle all services related to design, assembly, measurements and testing as well as logistics – Let’s talk about sheet metal!

Project Information
Material: carbon steel, galvanised sheet metal, aluminium, stainless steel
Fabrication: riveting, joining, welding – by hand, machine or robot
Pre-fabrication: laser cutting, punching, rounding, bending
Carbon steel surface: sand blasting, hot-dip galvanising, painting, powder coating
Stainless steel surface: pickling, glass bead blasting, grinding, Halar coating

Pressure and leakage tests

Pressure and leakage tests are used to assess the completed components and are considered a part of the quality inspection. Tanks, vessels and pipe systems can all be tested. These can be customer specified tests or legally required inspections, such as the final inspection and pressure test for pressure vessels. In addition to the stability, the tightness of the weld seams and the flange connectors is verified. This can be done at the factory for pre-assembled components, or on site for complete systems.

Project Information
Pressure vessel: air and water pressure tests
Pressure tests: deformation and stability tests
Nekal test: leakage test – “bubble leak test”
Leakage test: classes A – D according to DIN EN 12237 standards
Site: mobile measuring devises

Assembly

LBF has a wide range of assembly experience, including in the following sectors: furnace systems, paper technologies, microchip industries, electroplating industries, CHP facilities, exhaust gas systems and air duct systems. On request, LBF will assemble, among other things, our noise protection enclosures with steel constructions, industrial silencers, ventilation towers and large spring elements. Of course LBF can also completely assemble the systems, including the parts provided to us by the customer, such as expansion joints, valves, fans and much more.

Project Information
Assembly I: pipe and duct systems, mounts, ventilation towers
Assembly II: steel construction and noise protection enclosures, large spring elements
Support: site management, provision of cranes, lifting gear
On site welding: if required, by certified welders
Location: national and international

LBF Acoustic lab: noise measurements

If the initial values are unknown, LBF can measure the noise levels of the sound source. These are then indicated as sound power levels or sound pressure levels, and form the basis for the evaluation of the sound propagation. In order to comply with maximum allowed values, the necessary noise protection measures are defined as: output level - required maximum allowed level = necessary attenuation! Silencers are measured according to DIN standards in our acoustic lab: transmission room equipped with a wall of speakers – duct with silencers – reverberation room!

Project Information
Reverberation room: approx. 200 m3, positioned after the duct with the silencers
Sound power: measurements taken according to the reverberation room method
Sound Absorbing ducts: approx. 20 m long
Insertion loss: measurements according to DIN EN ISO 7235 standards
Site mobile measuring devices
