Exhaust air systems and silencers for food industries

Rectangular industrial silencers with connecting pipe and exhaust stack for polluted air. The welded silencer casing is equipped with inspection doors and removable splitters. The splitters can be vacuumed and wiped clean. The steel construction carries the complete load of the structure also allowing for wind load. The stacks are equipped with platforms and measuring points for regulatory inspections.

Project Information
Engineering: measurement, drawing, parts list, silencer design
Material tower and silencer: stainless steel 1.4301, full-surface pickled
Material steel construction: hot-dip galvanized
Sector: food industry
Location: Germany

Piping for exhaust gas purification system

Stainless steel pipes for regenerative thermal oxidizer – RTO facilities at Exxon Mobil. The material is certified and PMI-tested (Positive Material Identification) on account of the refinery industries’ extremely rigid requirements for documentation, traceability and inspections. All welding is carried out under welding procedure specifications and qualifications. Non-destructive testing and approvals are done by TÜV, MTL and DEKRA.

Project Information
Material: 1.4301, full-surface pickled
Welding and Testing: WPS, WPQR, VT, PT, PMI, Leakage test
Measurements: DN 1.200, length: approx. 10m
Sector: oil technologies and refineries
Location: Belgium

Piping system with dust filtration

Pressure piping and suction piping for filter systems. The bend has a streamlined design with a large radius for a better transportation of the dust. The centrifugal fan creates high overpressures and low-pressures that must be accommodated by the piping system without excessive deformation. Flange connections are required for the assembly and are to be provided by the customer. These allow for an easy exchange of individual components in case of later wear and tear.

Project Information
Material: S235JR, primed
Steel thickness: 3 mm
Measurements: DN 1.000
Sector: dust extraction technology
Location: Germany

Solvent treatment facility

Exhaust air containing components of solvents may not be emitted into the atmosphere without going through a post treatment system. Two factors play an important role here: the regulatory limits to be complied with and the prevention of unpleasant odours. The piping system connects the components of the post treatment facility. Due to the different ranges in temperatures, expansion joints, and fixed and floating bearings must be built in so that the facility can be connected to the steel base frame free of tension.

Project Information
Material: stainless steel 1.4301 / 1.4541
Engineering: drafting, pipe network calculations, static calculations
Steel construction: hot-dip galvanised
Sector: pharmaceutical industry
Location: Switzerland

Vessel with intermediate floor

LBF builds stainless steel tanks and vessels in virtually any design: round, rectangular, Non-pressure, pressure vessels, all with or without interior fittings. In this project, the stainless steel vessel is used as an unpressurised filter with a supported intermediate floor and covered with perforated sheet metal to hold filter material. The design data – main dimensions, required volume, connection openings – is customer specified. The details of the design are determined during the drafting.

Project Information
Material: stainless steel 1.4301, full-surface pickled
Measurements: DN 1.100, H = 2.400mm
Features: intermediate floor, manhole, base frame constructed for use with forklift
Sector: filter technology
Location: Germany

Pipe system with expansion joints and vessels

The pipe system consists of various divider pipes that connect tanks with different components of the facility – e.g. ventilators, heat exchanger, absorber, catalyser, UV reactor. The challenge here is that the divider pipes have varying degrees of temperature and that the operating status can also fluctuate. The facility is planned by the customer (including choice of material and dimensions). LBF completes the plans by deciding on the thickness of the sheet, the expansion joints, floating bearings, slide bearings, fixed bearings, as well as thermal decoupling.

Project Information
Material: 1.4301, 1.4541, supports S235JR: hot-dip galvanised
Temperature: 20° – 450° C
Overpressure/Low-pressure: +/- 5.000 Pa
Sector: munitions manufacturing
Location: Germany
